Monitoring the Misuse of Public Resources in the 2023 Parliamentary Election Campaign

As part of this project, we analysed the activities of public institutions, state-owned companies, local governments and their subsidiaries, as well as NGOs receiving public funding. We also monitored campaign-related events and publications in local and municipal media.

The project focused on the 2023 parliamentary elections in Poland, aiming to comprehensively assess whether public resources were misused during the campaign. Based on our findings, we developed recommendations to reduce the likelihood of such abuses and to enhance transparency in campaign financing. The project also sought to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations and citizens to monitor the use of public funds.
