We are happy to share our latest publication "Equal and common 2.0: Civil Proposals for Electoral Reform"!
This is an extended version of the document developed by experts from the Election Group, based on many years of experience from NGOs that have followed the reforms of electoral law and the practice of its implementation since the adoption of the Electoral Code in 2011. This publication expands on the first edition from 2024 and supplements it with conclusions from the local and European elections of 2024, as well as the presidential election in 2025. The authors identify the most important weaknesses of current solutions and suggest specific reforms to strengthen the transparency of the electoral process and ensure its greater stability.
Election Group:
Election Group is a cooperation platform for civil organisations working on transparent and independent elections. It was created based on cooperation that has been developed since 2020, and since 2024, it runs under its current name with a clear mission of strengthening electoral process standards in Poland. NGOs affiliated with Election Group monitor the course of elections, analyse the law changes and prepare reform suggestions based on facts and experience. We are working in specialized working groups, which ensure constant and substantive cooperation. Aim of the Group is to improve quality of electoral process and building lasting trust towards institutions responsible for its organisation.
